If you are like me, you've been designing a piece of equipment for a hot oil system (for me it's the hot oil heater) and needed to know some information about the heat transfer fluid being used in the system. If you are using a fairly common fluid and have the information from before, it's no problem. But then you run into a case where you are using a different fluid because of customer preference or specific design considerations. So then you have to check the different manufacturers' websites or brochures to gather what information you can.
As you gather this information, you find that different manufacturers provide varying levels of details about their fluids. Some provide every physical property in tables, others in charts. Some provide in 1 degree increments, others in 50 degree increments.
